The lakes in Yelahanka zone are amping up the benchmark and here I am writing about my new favourite — Yelahanka lake. By far the best one in all areas including water quality, facilities at the lake and cleanliness. It truly felt to be in the lap of nature for over an hour i was here.
The walking area in most of the part has paved and unpaved lanes and sports green cover which is very well maintained.
The lake is covered by farm houses / orchards on one side and railway track on the other. All along the walk i was always able to hear peacocks in the nature (mostly outside of the lake premises). I was unlucky to spot even one.
One of the standing out features here is the music being played in the mornings through these all weather resistant speakers installed across the lake.
Around 7 AM these were playing Radio City which was refreshing !
The lawn area and the gardens were very well maintained and there was a healthly number of fellow walkers from near by area.
Along with being the biggest of the lakes covered so far — with almost 5 km of the walking track, this was the personal best. If you want to get lost in nature near the city — highly recommend this place.
Yelahanka zone lakes are a notch above the rest for sure.
